3M Combat Arms Earplugs 4.1

The 3M™ Combat Arms™ Earplugs 4.1 are equipped with a special housing with a rocker switch. When the button with the 3M logo is pressed, the earplugs are in closed, filterless mode and function like a conventional product of this type. In this mode, they protect against all forms of noise. In the case of constant noise, e.g. B. from airplanes, vehicles, generators and ships, the earplugs should only be used in this operating mode.

The other button is marked “CAE” and has a tiny hole in it. Pressing this button activates the open mode, which allows some sounds to pass through. In this mode, the wearer can still hear quieter noises in quiet environments, while at the same time protecting their hearing from impulse noise, e.g. B. shots, is protected.
