The active ingredients are of natural origin, the base oil is medically pure white oil. Ballistol is completely resin and acid-free and resistant to aging. All ingredients are largely biodegradable and harmless to the environment. In addition, Ballistol Universal Oil is silicone-, PTFE-, acid- and resin-free and harmless in the sense of §§ 30,31 of the Food, Consumer Goods and Feed Act (LFGB) and Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004. Ballistol Universal Oil is therefore suitable for the care and maintenance of machines and equipment used in the food and beverage industry and where product contact may occur.

Ballistol's low surface tension means it can penetrate into the tightest corners and cracks, lubricating and protecting excellently. Leather is also effectively protected against drying out, water and other damage. Ballistol regenerates brittle, dry leather and makes it soft and elastic. Wood is also protected by Ballistol.
