The Berghaus FLT Heros 35 FA IR is a modular tactical backpack for short-term deployments with IRR equipment according to German Armed Forces TL specifications. The FLT Heros 35 FA IR is large enough to carry all combat gear, yet compact enough not to restrict movement. The main compartment is accessible via both the classic top opening and a large zippered front opening (FA).
The comfortable carrying system consists of a well-padded back panel with a ventilation channel and wide shoulder straps. The shoulder straps are ergonomically shaped, flat but softly padded, and equipped with a chest strap. The waist belt can be stowed in a compartment on either side to optimize freedom of movement. The flexible back panel with length-adjustable shoulder straps can be easily pulled over a tactical vest.
The FIGHT LIGHT PACK SYSTEM (FLT) is the latest development in the Berghaus Tactical range of load-carrying systems. The development of this Lightweight Load Carrying System (LCS) contributes to a higher level of soldier performance without sacrificing the essential features and comfortable load transfer for which Berghaus Tactical LCS systems are known.
FLT backpacks can be customized to specific missions and tasks with a wide range of smart accessories. Side pockets in various sizes, functional pouches, internal organizer pads, and stash packs make the FLT range a comprehensive LCS (Lightweight Equipment System). All accessories feature Accessory Connector Hooks (ACHs). ACHs are specially designed, hardened aluminum hooks that allow for quick attachment and removal of accessories. With the ACH system, users are no longer limited to using the side pocket zippers only for attaching pouches. The interior of FLT backpacks features webbing loops for integrating a functional organizer or radio pad. FLT represents a significant leap forward in user agility.
The FLT Heros 35 FA IR is made of CORDURA 560 DTEX, a 560 denier polyamide 6.6 Cordura that meets the stringent requirements of the German Armed Forces TL 8305-0278 standard, including high-end infrared protection (IRR 600 to 850 nm / approx. 12 pt.). All buckles, webbing, and hook-and-loop fasteners also meet the German Armed Forces' requirements regarding IRR camouflage effectiveness.

The Berghaus story began in 1966 when an English mountaineering couple founded the outdoor equipment store LD Mountain Center. Over time, Berghaus designed, tested, and sold its own gear based on the actual needs of mountaineers. Today, the brand is among the very best outdoor equipment manufacturers. Production for the army began during the Falklands War, when the British Army needed a backpack for specific conditions.
