The Berghaus MMPS Crusader II FA IR is a second generation MMPS (Multi Mission Pack System) FA (Front Access) backpack. Front access allows the user to quickly extract equipment from the lower section without having to remove other equipment stored on top.
Two additional webbing loops have been added to the inside of the back panel to allow attachment of FLT accessories intended for hanging in a backpack. For example, a radio pad can be attached so that the radio can be stored on the inside of the back wall of the backpack. Antenna, cables etc. can be routed through openings on the top of the backpack body.
There are ski attachment points on the backpack body. The ski attachment patches are made from a flexible Hypolon fabric. Two removable MMPS side pockets can be zipped together to form a daypack (shoulder straps, chest strap and armrest straps are included).
The Cyclops II carrying system, which has been tried and tested a thousand times over with an internal frame made of aluminum alloy, offers good carrying comfort even with heavy weight and a secure fit on the body during fast and violent movements. The hip belt is tightened by pulling two straps forward.
The berghaus MMPS Crusader II FA IR is made of CORDURA 560 DTEX, a 560 denier polyamide 6.6 Cordura that meets the strict requirements of the Bundeswehr TL 8305-0278, including high-end infrared protection (IRR 600 to 850 nm / approx. 12 pct .). All buckles, webbing and Velcro straps also meet the requirements of the Bundeswehr regarding IRR camouflage effect.
