The extremely robust MMPS Spartan II 60 FA tactical backpack from Berghaus fills the gap between the large 90-liter and the small 30-liter backpacks. Based on the design of the Crusader III 90+20 FA, the Spartan II 60 FA also offers the option of access not only via the top opening, but also via the front opening.
With 60 liters of storage space, equipment for several days in the field can be stowed away. The backpack can be fully opened at the top and bottom for easy loading. Various attachment points are located inside and out for securing additional gear and pouches, such as MOLLE, MMPS, and FLT compatible equipment. For example, MMPS side pouches (sold separately) can be attached to the side zippers. A mesh pocket for storing a helmet, jacket, etc., is located in a hook-and-loop compartment on the outside of the front cover.
The tried-and-tested Cyclops II carrying system from Berghaus was developed for heavy loads. The aluminum alloy frame ensures excellent load transfer efficiency. The ergonomically designed hip belt with hip wings is comfortably padded and prevents the pack from slipping. The ergonomically shaped back padding with ventilation channels guarantees optimal support and good contact with the pack, while still allowing sufficient freedom of movement even when fully loaded. The load control straps, comfortable shoulder straps, chest strap, and lid height are all adjustable for a perfect fit.

The Berghaus story began in 1966 when an English mountaineering couple founded the outdoor equipment store LD Mountain Center. Over time, Berghaus designed, tested, and sold its own gear based on the actual needs of mountaineers. Today, the brand is among the very best outdoor equipment manufacturers. Production for the army began during the Falklands War, when the British Army needed a backpack for specific conditions.
