The Hanwag Tatra II Wide is a trekking boot with clever details and a light, stable construction for a wide forefoot. Highlights include the supportive Vibram® profile sole, the comfortable insole, the sophisticated lacing and the soft shaft end.
Leather used as shoe lining offers a pleasant wearing comfort due to its rapid moisture absorption. Since leather lining adapts better to the contours of the foot, the fit is also improved. Even if they are not 100% waterproof, leather shoes can repel water very well if the outer material is well cared for. On multi-day tours, it is important to note that shoes with leather lining take longer to dry.
The wide version has a normal cut in the heel area and a wider cut in the forefoot and ball of the foot. This means that pressure points are finally a thing of the past.
The Tatra trekking boots belong to the hiking shoe category B/C and are well suited for easy climbing routes, moderately difficult mountain tours on narrow, rocky mountain paths and for long trekking tours with luggage.
