Das Ghillie-Fasergarn-Set von Helikon ist in typischen Waldtarnfarben gehalten. Damit lässt sich sowohl eine Tarnung für kleinere Gegenstände wie Waffen oder Kopfbedeckungen als auch für eine ganze Person gestalten. Dank der sorgfältig gewählten Farben ist die Tarnung in Wäldern, auf Feldern oder in offenem Gelände wirksam. Die Ghillie-Fasergarne eignen sich zudem zur Herstellung eines Ghillie-Anzugs.
Die im Set verwendeten Polyesterfasern sind schwer entflammbar. Zudem nehmen sie keine Feuchtigkeit auf, wodurch Schimmelbildung verhindert wird – selbst wenn die Tarnausrüstung häufig nass wird. Die matte Textur der Garne verstärkt die Tarnwirkung zusätzlich.

As a military surplus-retailer company, Helikon-Tex was established in Poland in 1983 and kept its direction, maturing as a company and gathering experience for over a decade.In the late 90', when the growing mismatch between current military gear solutions and the new challenges awaiting a modern-day soldier became obvious, Grzegorz Mieszczak, the owner of the company, decided to develop up-to-date military and paramilitary lines of clothing and gear.1999 was a milestone in the formation of Helikon-Tex as a producer and a brand itself.
