The Helikon Signal Mirror is a small rescue mirror designed to direct the sunlight it reflects over long distances. Reflecting light over short distances is easy as long as you can see it on a tree or wall. At long distances, an ordinary mirror cannot achieve this precision.
The Signal Mirror has a special opening that works like a collimator. This allows you to direct the reflected light to greater distances. In an emergency, you can call for help with an SOS signal by targeting a ship or aircraft. Visibility depends on sunlight, weather and terrain, but in good conditions the reflected light can be seen even from several kilometers away. On the back of the Signal Mirror there are instructions and a small compass.
