Manufacturer

The tried-and-tested ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID W tactical boot, now in a wide version with a wider forefoot area. Its balance of agility, lightness, and stability makes it perfect for use by military or police special forces, as well as regular armed forces.

The raised mid-cut shaft provides the necessary support for fast roping. The upper materials used consist of a combination of water-repellent and tear-resistant suede and abrasion-resistant and breathable CORDURA® material.

An innovative locking hook allows for individual adjustment of the lacing in the forefoot and ankle area. The waterproof and highly breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear laminate is ideal for use in moderate and wetter environments. The 2-layer PU midsole with MONOWRAP® frame surrounds and supports the foot like an exoskeleton.

The ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID W is certified as a work shoe according to EN ISO 20347:2012, is antistatic, and features a cold- and heat-insulating sole complex. The outsole is not only highly slip-resistant but also resistant to oil, gasoline, and contact heat.

Besides its tactical applications, the ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID W is also suitable for light trekking tours and extended hikes in the low mountain ranges.

In 1923, Lorenz Wagner, the son of shoemaker Johann Wagner, founded the company LOWA in the tranquil village of Jetzendorf, north of Munich.

He spent days and months developing lasts, models, and soles. His work laid the foundation for the company's future success.

However, the company's now 100-year history has not been all smooth sailing. Particularly in the 1950s, LOWA faced significant challenges, which Sepp and Berti Lederer, Lorenz Wagner's daughter, successfully overcame.

A new era finally began in the early 1990s. It heralded a turning point and made LOWA what the company is today: one of the most important outdoor footwear manufacturers worldwide.
