The air pump adapter simplifies inflating the lamp by replacing it with the hand pump. To do this, the pump cover and piston are unscrewed and the air pump adapter is screwed on. An air pump or compressor can then be connected to the adapter to pressurize the tank quickly and conveniently. If the lamp is inflated using the adapter, this also benefits the lifespan of the mantle. This avoids vibrations caused by pumping with the hand pump. The air pump adapter fits all Petromax models: HK150/250/350/500.
