Silva is a Swedish premium brand for outdoor equipment, such as headlamps, compasses, backpacks, and packs. In 1933, Björn, Alvar, and Arvid Kjellström, together with Gunnar Tillander, invented the very first liquid-filled compass, and the story began. It was not only the first compass of its kind but also set the worldwide standard for modern navigation. In 1935, they launched the first headlamp, and the Silva brand was born.
