The TacMed K9 tourniquet was designed to be used in tapered anatomy such as: B. a dog's leg, works effectively and is designed to be placed high on the limb. It has built-in traction technology that prevents the tourniquet from slipping down the animal's leg, which would cause loss of compression. Slipping is increased when the animal is to be moved and freed. Slippage is common when tourniquets or pressure bandages designed for humans are used on such tapered anatomy. The K9 Tourniquet addresses these issues with a quick application time.
Details:
- Woven, non-slip rubber inserts
- Time indicator for documenting the application time of the tourniquet
- Made in the USA

TacMed Solutions is a manufacturer of pre-hospital medical supplies and equipment designed for combat and tactical situations. Founded in 2003 by Ross Johnson, a Special Operations Forces medic, Ross served as a Green Beret in Afghanistan. The tourniquet he carried was the same one issued on D-Day. Unreliable, it proved ineffective, leading Ross to invent the SOF® Tourniquet.
