Team Wendy EXFIL SAR Backcountry Helmet with Rail blue

The Team Wendy® EXFIL® SAR Backcountry™ is the first helmet specifically designed for search and rescue operations, offering the ability to mount accessories while meeting key industrial and mountaineering performance standards.

The EXFIL® SAR Backcountry™ features a glass-fiber reinforced polycarbonate mount designed for attaching lights and cameras. The helmet has a sporty carrying strap system with FidLock® magnetic quick release and an integrated BOA® Fit System for optimized stability and fit.

The EXFIL® SAR Backcountry™ comes standard with side rails, two Magpul® MOE® 5-slot Picatinny rails and two vent covers to prevent objects and debris from entering the helmet's crown vent.

Helmet shell:

• High-cut shell with unique geometry for optimal fit
• Shell made of Lexan polycarbonate copolymer
• Glass-reinforced polycarbonate mount for mounting cameras and lamps
• SAR Accessory Rail rails including two Magpul® MOE® 5-Slot Picatinny Rails

Helmet padding:

• Shock-absorbing high-performance padding with two sets of comfort pads (thin and thick) for optimal fit
• Meets the shock absorption requirements of BS EN 12492:2012 and BS EN 1385:2012
• Meets ACH requirements for multiple impact blunt impact as per AR/PD10-02, 16Dec'13
• Comfort padding made from proprietary viscoelastic Zorbium® foam with water-repellent film and antimicrobial fabric cover

Carrying strap system:

• Sporty carrying strap system with FidLock® magnetic closure
• Integrated BOA® Fit System for optimized stability and fit
• Antimicrobial, moisture-regulating headband covers

Certifications:

• Meets the requirements of BS EN 12492:2012 for mountaineering helmets
• Meets the requirements of BS EN 1385:2012 for whitewater helmets
• Meets the additional requirements of the European standard for high performance industrial helmets BS EN 14052:2012 for impact outside the helmet crown
• NOTE: EN 14052 requires a low strength chin strap, the EXFIL® SAR is not fully certified to BS EN 14052:2012 to meet the more stringent chin strap requirements of BS EN 12492:2012 and reduce the risk of losing the helmet in a fall
• Meets Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) requirements for blunt impact protection (according to AR/PD 10-02 Rev A)
