Das Team Wendy ZAP™ Airborne Pad wurde entwickelt, um in Verbindung mit den Standard ZAP™ Sets (7-Pad NSN und SOF Konfigurationen) getragen zu werden. Es wird bei Luftlandeoperationen im Nackenbereich des Helms platziert, um den empfindlichen Nackenbereich des Schädels zusätzlich zu schützen, indem es die bei Hochgeschwindigkeitsstößen auftretenden G-Spitzenwerte reduziert. Das ZAP™ Airborne Pad wiegt weniger als 10 Gramm.
