The Bothy Bags from Terra Nova are very lightweight and compact emergency windsocks or emergency shelters. A 'must have' for all mountain hikers, winter tourers, anyone who is exposed to the wind on tour and should have a windbreak with them for a rest or emergency. Unlike a bivouac bag, a windsock is intended for sitting. In the windsock, the user has absolute protection from cooling down, their own microclimate, dry and (relatively) warm. Ideal for a relaxing break and eating.
